Spray Tans
Exfoliate your entire body 24-48 hours prior to your spray tan. Refrain from using scrubs that contain oils. I recommend using an exfoliating mitt.
Refrain from applying oils, lotions, perfumes, or deoderant the day of your tan as they can act as a skin barrier. Remove any previous or remnants from an old spray tan prior to your appointment
Any waxing or shaving should be done at least 24 hours before your spray tan. All facial, massage, manicure, and pedicure appointments should be completed prior to your tan appointment. Two or more days before your appointment discontinue use of retinol, bar soaps, dove, dial, or products that contain sulfates.
If you must rinse the day of your tan, make sure it is at least 4 hours before your appointment. Do not use any body wash or soap in this shower
After your spray tan you must wear loose clothing (sweatpants, t-shirt, flip flops). No denim, leggings, socks, tight fitting tops, or light colored clothing.
Do not shower or bathe for at least 8 hours when you receive a traditional solution spray. In your first shower just rinse. Don't use soaps or body wash. In your future showers I recommend using Bronze Boss Body Wash to avoid stripping the skin and to keep skin pH balanced. When washing your hands apply soap and water to palms only during processing time.
While your tan is processing refrain from skin-to-skin contact, sweating, and tight clothing
Moisturize the skin at least a minimum of 2x a day with proper aftercare. I recommend Bronze Boss Moisturizer. Avoid products with alcohol, sulfates, fragrance, and other drying ingredients.
Rapid Solution Clients: Don't use lotions or anything on your skin until 24 hours after your first post tan shower.
Don't shave for at least 24 hours after your spray tan and only shave as needed. Don't receive spa treatments for 3-4 days post tan. Practice cooler showers while you have a tan. Any exfoliation will cause your tan to fade faster. When getting out of the shower you should pat dry.
